We have created some "Outside the Box" projects using smart controllers, for instance we have used Yaskawa, Mitsubishi, and Allen Bradly servo amplifiers to create press feeders for the metal stamping industry. We have utilized 46 Mitsubishi VFD units and 6 axis of servo control to move products through a maze of conveyors and elevators, hard coating automotive plaque components. This system has a 36" color monitor utilizing MMI software and is networked to 4 other workstations around the system. The MMI communicates to a PLC handling all the communications to the VFD and remote PLC's for support equipment via CC-Link networking. This is the largest coatings applicator in the world.
